Sup fam! I had the pleasure of talking with my homie and fellow artist/entrepreneur, Cedric Clinton, during the "Sunday dinner" hour. But, like most independent artists, the "grind" is a 24/7 hustle. Cedric is a rising self-made artist from the island of Oahu.
He is the owner of Squeeze Play Hawaii and his brand Chi-Funk. In this interview, he shared about growing up as a local kid in Waikiki, surfing, and how his passions evolved over time to writing and rapping.

Happy Aloha Friday OTDHipHop fam,
Thank you always for your support! Today, I had the pleasure of talking with GIB, a hip hop artist originally from Arizona, and currently living in Hawaii. I met him at a #DOPEHI show just a few weeks ago, shouts out Jus Bone! In this interview, GIB talks about his journey through life as he explores his style musically. He radiates his positive energy in various endeavors, including doing music independently and building his own platform.
Hello OTDHipHop world,
The days are just FLYING by before we go on tour next week. I've been trying to knock out as many interviews and blog articles I can for all the artists I know in Hawaii and anywhere else for that matter. Particularly, I'm stoked for my local scene and how a lot of us are putting in work. Hawaii has to be one of the most diverse hip hop scenes on the planet. Considering that we're a diverse population, and largely native and indigenous, there's no doubt that the music and art are intertwined from our cultures. With that said, I'm so honored and excited to introduce Waianae artist, TR1P60D!! At only 16 years old and fairly new to the scene, he is already cultivating a local fan base in the teen and pre-teen spaces here on Oahu, and it's growing every day.
