Much love to all the featured artists and fans, y'all keeping this platform going!
With that said, this week’s #TrackTuesday is “No V-Day” by Philly-based artist RAMADXN.
Check out our song review below:
“No V-Day” is one of RAMADXN’s latest drops. First off, I dig the the beat itself has a slower trap pace with a boosted base. Shouts out Canis Major on production! As far as lyrical content, I dig RAMADXN’s style. Essentially, “No V-Day” is a love song. I pictured it as a page out of the artist’s diary or journal, basically he’s venting his frustrations about a girl. He also has a nonchalant attitude in his voice that makes his story easy and fun to listen to even though the tone is a little dark.
Wassup OTDHipHop fam,
I’m trynna switch things up on here so stay tuned in for more! Today we got a special Track Tuesday Double Feature; I’ll be reviewing two songs by Philly-based artist RAMADXN. It’s been about a year since I chopped it up with him, fka RaSTATiiic and it was hella cool to check out his new material. (Click here for RAMADXN’s last article.)
RAMADXN’s submitted his visuals for his song “Whole Thing” (Prod. by Lil Xane). The beat, lyrics, and video have a dark, underground type of vibe but his flow and voice got a more playful, clever tone. The video has a simple concept with smooth and clever cutaways that match his lyrics (cartoons, scenes, etc). I’m impressed by this DIY artist, having made his own song and directed his own music video for it. RAMADXN’s brand continues to elevate with high quality logos and graphics.
