Hawaii-based Hip Hop Artist/Rapper JVSON JONES has been in and out of the local scene for a number of years. Starting right out of high school just a few years ago, he was doing some open mics, collaborating, and learning more of his craft. The latter part of 2016 has shown JVSON on the cusp of his own creative evolution.
Formerly known as “Jet,” the artist’s new moniker “JVSON” showcases his growth into manhood as he continues to develop his sound, image, and brand, which has collectively taken a huge step forward professionally. He stated, “One major thing I’ve been thinking along with a lot of change, is my artist name. So it’s goodbye to ‘Jet,’ it’s still my nickname but my official artist name is now JVSON JONES.”
For this week’s Track Tuesday, #OTDHipHop is featuring the rapper’s newest single,“BVNKS” (Prod. by Superstaar Beats). The official music video was released on October 6th via Facebook, and will be launched on Youtube soon. “The song is not about having money, but needing and grinding for it even though it isn't everything,” said JVSON. JVSON JONES is now 25 years old, and continues to record music and produce beats/instrumentals on his own. He is already working on a string of new music videos, furthering his relationship with the visual finesse at Aloha Hype. Stay tuned for more from this up and coming artist!
