Georgia-based rapper Nick “Swain,” dropped his newest track “Ball Out” over the weekend. The song talks about Swain’s experiences as a young black man trying to make it in Hip Hop. So often, we are bombarded with messages of money, women, and all sorts of vanity. But Swain brings a different message. “Ball Out” is a tribute to the lifestyle of being free and able to think outside the box. Swain said that we can all ball out in our own way.
Swain comes from a diverse background. As the oldest son of two military parents, he has lived in a handful of states; and mentions Georgia, Hawaii, and Florida as places that really influenced him to make music. I actually went to middle school with this talented young man and he spotted me almost a decade later at last year’s Mission Underground event in Los Angeles. Swain digs the diversity of Hip Hop, and all the different sounds artists can have. Check out “Ball Out” on Swain’s soundcloud! Support your local artists!
